Rating and Strike Policy
A transparent system designed to reward reliable sellers and buyers — and quickly remove bad actors.
Last updated: June 2026
How strikes are issued
Sellers accumulate strikes when any of the following happens:
- A dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour.
- The seller fails to submit required photos within 48 hours of buyer approval.
- Tracking shows no movement within 5 business days after the ship button is marked.
- The seller ghosts an accepted order — no response, no shipping action — for 72 hours.
Suspensions and bans
- At 3 strikes, the account is automatically suspended pending admin review.
- Admin may reinstate the account after review, possibly with conditions (e.g. Stripe Identity verification, transaction volume cap).
- At 5 total lifetime strikes after at least one reinstatement, the account is permanently banned.
- Severe violations described in the Seller Policy (counterfeits, ban evasion, fraud) skip the strike system and trigger immediate permanent bans.
How seller rating is calculated
A seller's rating is the percentage of completed transactions with no lost disputes and no strikes. For example, 198 clean transactions out of 200 = 99.0%. Rating is recomputed in real time.
Trusted Seller status
- Granted automatically at 100+ completed sales and a 99%+ rating.
- Trusted Sellers get a visible badge on their profile and on every offer they submit, plus priority placement when offers are tied on price.
- Status is suspended automatically if rating drops below 97%.
- Status is reinstated automatically when rating recovers to 99%+.
Trusted Buyer status
- Granted automatically when an account has been active for at least 1 year, maintains a 99%+ clean rating, and has completed at least $1,000 in trading volume within the last 12 months.
- Requires a consistent history of timely payments and zero instances of dispute system abuse.
- Trusted Buyers receive a visible Trusted badge on their public profile and on every Want To Buy order they post.
- Status is suspended automatically if the buyer's rating drops below the required threshold or if a dispute is resolved against them.
